Colwen Hotels Food & Beverage Supervisor in Chelsea, Massachusetts

*The BRAND NEW Holiday Inn Chelsea- OPENING SUMMER 2018- is in search of a motivated and experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to coordinate activities on a daily basis. *

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all Food and Beverage operations including restaurant, lounge and function space

  • Assist in scheduling of food and beverage associates

  • Train, maintain and administer service standards

  • Adhere to all applicable Food and Beverage brand standards

  • Ensure safety, sanitation and cleanliness of all food prep, restaurant, lounge and function space

  • Ongoing performance management

  • Confirm function space is clean and visually appealing at all times

  • Certify that equipment, furniture, and fixtures in food prep, restaurant, lounge and function space all in good working order

  • Consistent implementation of service standards and SOP’s in banquet space

  • Guide banquet set-up and service staff in set up of tables and place settings according to guests requests

  • Be familiar with all current and upcoming event details

  • Initiate guest communication to solicit feedback from guests during events

  • Perform monthly inventories and consumption spreadsheets/reports

  • Ensure sufficient guest supplies, beverage supplies and equipment

  • Abide by all state, local and municipal laws and regulations pertaining to liquor and food safety

  • Maintain proper inventory controls and order supplies

  • Receive, check and document all food and beverage deliveries

  • Perform accurate cash-out procedure at shift end

  • Evaluate market trends and ideas for liquor specials and presentation

  • Ensure all phases of loss prevention are coordinated and monitored

  • Previous supervisory experience in hotel Food and Beverage

  • Proven track record in social and corporate catering

  • T.I.P.S. and ServSafe certification (within 30 days if certification is expired)

  • Strong Leader of people

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Proficient in English language

  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills

  • Familiar with common computer software programs

  • Must be willing to work holidays and weekends

  • May require overnight stays

  • Some work in office

  • Must be willing to work varied hours
