The Executive Chef Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
Supervise daily operation of all food preparation and production procedures.
Supervise, implement and maintain core menus and recipe management system and back of the house computer system.
Maintain proper procedures to maintain kitchen/equipment sanitation.
Comply with all federal and state regulations pertaining to food handling/production.
Assist with recipe development.
Maintain proper purchasing/receiving procedures.
Ensure optimum food quality/presentation.
Direct supervision of all food production staff and utility staff.
Certification from a culinary institute or bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef.
In lieu of certification/degree, a minimum of 15 years proven success as an Executive Chef.
Must have experience working in food service systems.
Hospitality and fine dining experience highly preferred.
Successful in leadership and staff development.
